There's often pressure to capitalize on the horse's natural abilities quickly. High expectations from owners, trainers, or even oneself can lead to rushing the training process, skipping essential steps, or pushing the horse beyond its physical or mental limits.

It's crucial to give them the opportunity to adapt to new skills and challenges at their own pace, ensuring they remain confident and willing partners in their training.Every horse is different, and talented horse have unique strengths and weaknesses that reflect their outstanding nature. Training talented horses often involves overcoming challenges and obstacles that are difficult to assess due to the horse’s ability to “compensate” along the way.  Trusting the process sets the stage for long-term success. By focusing on gradual improvement and consistently reinforcing positive behaviors, it is possible to identify the issue at it’s core and develop a strategy to  help the horse reach it’s full potential. This approach leads to a more sustainable career  and rewarding partnership between horse and rider in the long run.
